Park Engineering staff provides construction management and inspection services for two improvement projects for the NVTA. Services have included full construction management including CCO, RFI and submittal management, schedule, constructibility reviews, bidding assistance, and federally funded project support including contract administration, contract compliance, audit support and fund reimbursement. Projects included:
Vine Trail Project, St. Helena to Calistoga
This $13M federally funded project constructed approximately 7 miles of new bike lane along SR-29 from St. Helena to Calistoga. Improvements include drainage, path section & paving work, retaining walls, pedestrian bridges, concrete improvements and site furnishings. Coordination with PG&E & other utilities, adjacent wineries, Bothe State Park, Cal Fire and the Cities of St. Helena and Calistoga were additional key elements for the success of the project.
Imola Ave / SR-29 Park-n-Ride Improvements Project
This $2.2M locally funded project included widening of the northbound off and southbound SR-29 ramps to construct new bus/transit stops. Improvements also included reconstruction of the existing park-n-ride lot, new concrete curb, gutter & sidewalk, pedestrian lighting, landscaping & irrigation and traffic signal upgrades.
