2017 Street & Sewer Rehabilitation Project
This multi-source funded $3.1M project’s scope of work included the rehabilitation of asphalt pavement and sanitary sewers on and within several streets in the City of Mill Valley. This work includes, but is not limited to:
- Implementation of storm water pollution and prevention
- Traffic control
- Potholing to locate utilities
- Asphalt removal by milling or other means
- Removal and replacement of concrete curbs and gutters, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and driveways
- Clearing and grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, placement and compaction of aggregate base
- Placement of reinforcing fabric
- Localized pavement and subgrade repairs
- Rehabilitation of sanitary sewer pipelines by open trenching and pipe bursting
- Reconnection of sewer laterals
- Placement of asphalt concrete pavement
- Crack sealing
- Applying slurry seal
- Applying striping, markers, and legends
Project duration was a very aggressive 60 working days for base bid work with multiple internal milestones to complete locations of work and school time restrictions. Additional Alternative Bid Items granted an additional 20 working days.
