Chilco Street, Phase 2 Utility Relocation Project
Park Engineering provided the City of Menlo Park construction inspection services for this multiple underground utility improvement project. The project was permit inspection for the City related to development and expansion of the Facebook Campus. The work was located along Chilco Street off Bayfront Expressway (Highway 84 from the Dumbarton Bridge) that has mixed use of business and residential. The project work consisted of:

• Installing / Replacing 2,000-feet of sanitary sewer mainline
• Replacing existing & adding future lateral connections
• Replacing manhole frames and covers
• Installing 1,000-feet of storm drain pipe with new manholes / inlets
• Installing approximately 1,000-feet of new water & reclaimed water lines
• All installation was open trench; day & night work with extensive traffic control
• Full width roadway resurfacing
• Coordination with Fiber Optic, PG&E, Sanitary & Water Supply utilities

Park Engineering provided the City construction Inspection services, which included quality assurance of contractor’s work, coordination with related utility service providers, preparation of daily diaries, contract administration, office engineering, photo documentation, overseeing traffic control, ADA compliance, access to private residences, SWPPP and regulatory permit compliance.
